Powering Appiness Campaign Terms and Conditions

Campaign Overview

The Powering ‘APPiness Campaign is organized by the Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (“JPS”) to encourage customers to download and use the MyJPS Mobile App. By using the app’s key features, participants may win a $20,000 credit toward their December bill.

Promotional Period

November 15, 2024 to December 27, 2024.

Eligibility

The campaign is open to all JPS Residential Customers (Rate 10) who download and use the MyJPS Mobile App. JPS employees, their immediate families, suppliers and other related individuals are not eligible to participate.

How to Enter

Participants enter by downloading and using the MyJPS Mobile App. Each of the following actions within the app qualifies as an entry:

· Viewing the electricity bill

· Setting a budget

· Tracking electricity usage

Each qualifying use of the MyJPS Mobile App counts as an entry and multiple uses increase the chances of winning.

Prizes

· Grand Prize: 101 winners will each receive a $20,000 credit toward their December 2024 JPS electricity bill.

· Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

Selection and Notification of Winners

Winners will be selected weekly and notified each Friday, beginning November 22, 2024. JPS will contact winners using the official phone number, 876-618-0253. If a winner cannot be reached after three attempts, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

Conditions for Claiming Prizes

Winners must:

1. Visit our office: Visit the JPS Office when contacted and instructed to do so.

2. Provide a government-issued ID: Bring a valid form of identification, such as a Driver’s Licence, Passport or National ID.

3. Sign a Redemption Form: This form is required to confirm your identity and serves as official acceptance of the $20,000 bill credit.

4. Take a photo: A photo will be taken to commemorate your win, which JPS may use in press releases and on social media.

Winners who do not agree to the above-mentioned conditions will immediately forfeit their prize.

Limitations on Winning

Each customer is eligible to win only once during the campaign period. Multiple wins for the same customer are not permitted.

Community Pop-Ups and Special Events

JPS will host two community events featuring app demonstrations, entertainment, and giveaways on:

· December 19 in St. Thomas

· December 21 in Montego Bay

Data Protection

JPS is committed to safeguarding participants’ personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act. Personal information will be used solely for campaign administration and will not be disclosed to third parties without the customer’s consent.

General Terms

· JPS reserves the right to modify or discontinue the campaign at any time.

· By participating, entrants agree to these terms and conditions and acknowledge that all decisions by JPS regarding this campaign are final.

· Any dispute or claim arising from the campaign shall be governed by Jamaican law, and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jamaican courts.

Liability

JPS is not responsible for any issues, technical or otherwise, that may affect an entrant’s ability to participate in the campaign.
