JPS Returns to Portmore 

New MyJPS Care Hub to be launched in Fontana Pharmacy, Portmore

(March 19, 2025 – Kingston, Jamaica) – In response to numerous customer requests for in-person service options, JPS is set to launch its new MyJPS Care Hub in collaboration with Fontana Pharmacy in the “Sunshine City” of Portmore. This initiative marks a significant step in expanding JPS’ customer engagement by providing convenient access to services in a familiar and accessible location.

The Company emphasizes that it has been listening to its customers, some of whom have missed the presence of face-to-face interactions within their communities.  Understanding the need for this preferred engagement, JPS has worked to find a solution that balances convenience with efficiency.

The MyJPS Care Hub will be housed inside Fontana Pharmacy, in Portmore Pines, offering customers the ability to address key service needs, including account set-ups, billing queries, digital support, and other frequently requested services. 

Senior Vice President of Customer Services and Commercial at JPS, Pia Baker explained, “At JPS, we are always listening to our customers and as we strive to continuously improve their overall customer service support experience, their feedback has directly shaped and guided us specifically on how they want to access and engage with us. While we have enhanced our digital service offerings and have seen over 80% of customers utilizing the MyJPS App, we also recognize the importance of in-person support for some customers.  This partnership with Fontana Pharmacy, started with discussions as early as January of this year.”

The collaboration with Fontana Pharmacy is aimed at meeting customers where they already shop and conduct daily business  and in a setting which is convenient for JPS customers to access support.

Marketing Manager of Fontana Pharmacy, Stephanie Smith expressed, “We are excited to welcome JPS into our Fontana family. Customer convenience has always been a top priority for us, and this partnership is a natural fit. It allows JPS customers to access key services while visiting our stores, making it easier to manage their utility needs in one stop,” she said.

The MyJPS Care Hub in Fontana Pharmacy, Portmore, is approaching the final stages of development and is expected to start receiving customers by May.  The rollout of the MyJPS Care Hubs will continue with the launch of a second location this year.
