Beaming principal of the Bath Primary and Junior High School in St. Thomas, Beverly Edwards (left), is joined by students (l-r) Christina Martin and Tajaunie Derrizo, in accepting their third-place award in the primary school category of the Forestry Department’s National School Tree Planting Competition, from Head – JPS Foundation, Sophia Lewis, recently. The JPS Foundation was the major sponsor of the competition which ended in February, providing over $800,000.00 in cash awards. Despite drought conditions, students planted over 1,500 trees throughout the competition which started in September 2022.
